As we enter a New Year many of us have set goals and resolutions. Whether your resolution is to save money, become healthier, or any of the countless tasks you could choose, we are making a promise to YOU! Our Promise is to continue listening to you and being a supportive Brand of the LGBT+ Community. We believe that by reinvesting into our own communities we can make this world a better place. In 2024 we have donated to many incredible charities that focus on many different areas such as: LGBT Homeless Youth, Substance Abuse Facilities, Vision Impairment Programs, and countless more organizations. Each of the charities we’ve donated to holds a very near and special place in my heart and knowing we are directly impacting those in the communities we serve is crucial for us.

We have set a goal in 2025 to GIVE MORE than we ever have and with your continued support we will be able to achieve these goals. We truly couldn’t do this without your support and are looking forward to celebrating 2025 together with YOU!

As we are deep into the holiday season, we want to take a moment to reflect back on the year and forecast on what’s to come. No matter what holiday you celebrate it’s not about what present you receive or the shiny new toy you’re hoping for, but instead enjoy those special moments and memories being around those that you love.

While it’s easy to get caught up in the frenzy of shopping for the holidays we choose to focus on giving. We use the month of December to help others in need. This year we have partnered with an Atlanta-Based Adult Special Needs Facility where many of the patients don’t have the basic essentials that we enjoy daily. We collect donations locally throughout the month of December and will be matching every donation received to show our dedication to this organization (Maximum Matching $1,000). 

We couldn’t do this without your support therefore we are extremely appreciative for you helping us reinvest in our local communities.

As the holidays are upon us, we want to take a moment to show a little gratitude for what we are Thankful for…. YOU! While each person’s situation is different, one thing we can count on is being there for each other. The great thing about being LGBT+ is that we get to choose our family and who we surround ourselves with. Some people spend time with their parents, some with their friends, and some surrounded by “our chosen family”. No matter who you are spending the Holidays with we want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to let you know that we see you, Love You, and are appreciative for you!

As we enter September we want to focus this month on National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The rate of suicide fluctuates over the years, however 1 is too many. In 2021 more the 48,000 people died by suicide which translates to 1 death every 11 minutes. The statistics are shocking with 12.3 million adults considering suicide, 3.5 million adults making a plan for suicide, and 1.7 million adults attempting suicide. 

With the staggering statistics listed above we are all likely effected somehow by these actions and it’s devastating for those of us left behind. We are all in this together and by showing our love and support to those around us we can hopefully drop these numbers down. 

While we all face challenges in the world and it’s becoming even tougher by the day, I am here to assure you that IT GET’S BETTER!

As Pride Month concludes we must continue to reflect and be fighters for our equal rights. We are constantly under attack from many groups and legislation pushing to silence us by proposing new laws to restrict our fundamental human rights. Our Team at Four Pleasure has made a promise to ourselves from day 1 to continue making our voices heard and doing our part to fight for our rights not to be restricted. While we continue the good-fight, we can’t lose sight of being our authentic self and continuing to love each other.

We are put on a national platform for Pride Month but it’s important to continue being your authentic self all year long and not let people intimidate you from changing that. While the world we live in can often be challenging and difficult we must lean on each other and know that together we can make this planet a better place.

As we sit back and reflect on the progress that the LGBT+ Community has made over the last several decades we must ask ourselves a question. "What else can we do?" There is still people out there everyday that hate us just for being ourselves which is completely unacceptable. We should be embracing our LGBT+ brothers and sisters to grow, learn, and improve not only ourselves but our communities. For PRIDE, we want to highlight the impact we have had on our community and therefore we are PROUD to have made a generous donation to a local LGBT charity based here in Atlanta. We must continue fighting the good fight and be resilient of the hatred that we face everyday by standing up and making our voices heard LOUD n CLEAR. We will continue to be PROUD of ourselves and encourage you to do the same. Stay Strong and Celebrate with PRIDE.
